Apart from the Crog Loft, all of the accommodation is on the ground floor, although the Main Bedroom is two steps down from the rest of the ground floor. There are nine steps up to the Crog Loft and five down to the Patio, as shown on the plan above. The front door of Bwthyn Llŷs Twrog is 29 inches (740 mm) wide with no steps and a threshold approximately 2.4 inches (60 mm) high.      The internal doors are all narrower than the front door, the smallest being the shower room door at 25 inches (640 mm) wide. Vehicular and pedestrian access to Bwthyn Llŷs Twrog from the road is along an unsurfaced track  approximately 330 feet (100 metres) in length that runs across open common land used for grazing. The track is suitable for two wheel drive vehicles, but cars carrying a heavy load or with a very low clearance should negotiate the track with care. Parking is provided in the lower yard by the Patio approximately 80 feet (25 metres) from the front door, but guests can choose to park on the common just outside the  main gate if they prefer. The small yard immediately by the Front Door  can be used for loading and unloading. The yard area around the Bwthyn is covered in loose slate chippings.
